Don’t spend two dollars to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the Salvation Army instead. They’ll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for seventy five cents.

Wild nights. Wild nights!
Were I with thee,
Wild nights should be
Our luxury!
Futile the winds
To a heart in port
Done with the compass
Done with the chart.
Rowing in Eden.
Ah, the sea.
Might I but moor
Tonight with thee!
Emily Dickinson

My heart is like a singing bird
Whose nest is in a water’d shoot;
My heart is like an apple-tree
Whose boughs are bent with thick-set fruit;
My heart is like a rainbow shell
That paddles in a halcyon sea;
My heart is gladder than all these,
Because my love is come to me.
Raise me a dais of silk and down;
Hand it with vair and purple dyes;
Carve it in doves and pomegranates,
And peacocks with a hundred eyes;
Work it in gold and silver grapes,
In leaves and silver fleurs-de-lys;
Because the birthday of my life
Is come, my love is come to me.
Christina Georgina Rossetti

What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.
Agnes M. Pharo

Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night. I miss you like hell.

Hey baby, I ain’t askin’ much of you
No no no no no no no no baby, I ain’t askin’ much of you
Just a big-a big-a hunk o’ love will do
Don’t be a stingy little mama
You’re ’bout to starve me half to death
Well you can spare a kiss or two and
Still have plenty left, no no no
Baby, I ain’t askin’ much of you
Just a big-a big-a hunk o’ love will do
You’re just a natural born beehive
Filled with honey to the top
Well I ain’t greedy baby
All I want is all you got, no no no
Baby, I ain’t askin’ much of you
Just a big-a big-a hunk o’ love will do
I got wishbone in my pocket
I got a rabbit’s foot ’round my wrist
You know I’d have all the things these lucky charms could bring
If you’d give me just one sweet kiss, no no no no no no no
Baby, I ain’t askin’ much of you
Just a big-a big-a hunk o’ love will do

Dirt Poor - Dates back to the 1930’s Depression era where there was extreme poverty and many people lived in dirty conditions. Some people say it dates back to England in the 1500’s where finished floors were rare, but this origin has not been proven.
